Educational Advocacy

Finding your way through the educational system can seem like a full time job when you have a child in need of or receiving special education services. From RtI, to 504 Plans, to IEPs and ETRs it may seem impossible to know who you need to talk to and what you need to do in order to ensure your child has access to the services he/she needs. Our consultants help you navigate the educational system by working collaboratively with you and school personnel to create a plan that best suits the academic, social, and behavioral needs of your child.

We also strongly feel that your child's school experience should be more than just an IEP. In addition to educational processes, we partner with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals and other staff to address behaviors that may impede full participation in the classroom and throughout the school day.

COBC offers educational advocacy as a related component of the in home consultation model OR as an independent service option to families in the absence of a full home program.
